Terms and Conditions for Virtual Seminar Purchases

These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and use of Virtual Seminars (henceforth known as webinars) provided by Jonathan Carstairs, trading as Play for Parents ("we", "us", "our") through the website www.playforparents.com.
By purchasing a webinar, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

When these Terms refer to "Play for Parents", "we", "us", or "our", they mean Jonathan Carstairs trading as Play for Parents.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a webinar through our website.
By making a purchase, you confirm that:

You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.

The information you provide is accurate and complete.
3. Webinar Purchases
When you purchase a webinar:

A contract is formed when we accept your order and payment.

All prices are displayed in Pounds Sterling (£).

Prices may be amended at any time but changes will not affect purchases already completed.

Payment must be received in full before access to the webinar is provided.
4. Webinar Access
Webinars are delivered online using the Zoom platform.
Following purchase, you will receive webinar joining instructions and access details by email before the scheduled event.
Access rights are personal to the purchaser and may not be shared, transferred, sold, or distributed without our written permission.
You are responsible for ensuring that:

You have a suitable internet connection;

Your device supports Zoom;
-
You have installed any software required to access the webinar before it begins.
We recommend joining a few minutes before the advertised start time to ensure your equipment is working correctly.
5. Intellectual Property
All webinar content, presentations, recordings, handouts, downloads, and accompanying materials remain the intellectual property of Jonathan Carstairs trading as Play for Parents unless otherwise stated.
You may:

Attend the webinar for personal use;

Download any resources expressly provided for participant use.
You may not:

Record the webinar;
-
Reproduce, distribute, publish, or share webinar content;

Upload webinar content to websites, social media platforms, or file-sharing services;

Use webinar content for commercial purposes without prior written consent.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Participants
You may cancel your webinar booking and receive a full refund provided that you notify us at least 24 hours before the scheduled webinar start time.
Cancellation requests should be sent by email to support@playforparents.com
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable period.
Cancellations Within 24 Hours
No refunds will normally be available where:

A cancellation request is received less than 24 hours before the webinar start time; or

The participant fails to attend the webinar.
Recorded Content
Where access is provided to recordings, downloadable materials, or other digital content immediately following purchase, you acknowledge that access to such content may affect your statutory cancellation rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
7. Changes and Cancellations by Us
We reserve the right to:

Reschedule webinar dates or times;

Substitute presenters where necessary;

Amend webinar content;
-
Cancel a webinar where circumstances require.
If we cancel a webinar and cannot offer a suitable alternative date, a full refund will be provided.
Our liability shall be limited to the amount paid for the webinar.
8. Technical Requirements
We are not responsible for any inability to attend a webinar caused by:

Problems with your internet connection;

Device compatibility issues;

Failure to install or access Zoom;
-
Firewall or security restrictions on your network;

Any other technical issue outside our reasonable control.
9. Educational Information Disclaimer
Our webinars are intended for educational and informational purposes only.
The information provided:

Does not constitute legal advice;

Does not constitute medical advice;

Does not constitute psychological, therapeutic, or diagnostic advice;

Does not replace advice from teachers, schools, healthcare professionals, or other qualified practitioners.
Any actions taken based on information presented during a webinar are your responsibility.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion would be unlawful.
Subject to applicable law, our total liability arising from a webinar purchase shall not exceed the amount paid for that webinar.
We shall not be liable for:

Indirect or consequential losses;

Loss of profits;

Loss of opportunity;

Loss of data;

Technical failures outside our reasonable control.
11. Participant Conduct
Participants must not:

Behave abusively toward presenters or other attendees;

Disrupt webinar sessions;

Share offensive, discriminatory, defamatory, or unlawful content through Zoom chat or other webinar functions;

Attempt to gain unauthorised access to webinar materials or systems.
We reserve the right to remove participants from a webinar without refund where these requirements are breached.
12. Privacy
Personal information will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Where webinars are delivered through Zoom, participant information necessary for webinar delivery may be processed through Zoom's systems in accordance with its privacy practices.
13. Force Majeure
We shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:

Internet outages;

Power failures;
-
Illness;
-
Industrial disputes;
-
Severe weather;
-
Government action;
-
Failures of Zoom or other third-party technology providers.
14. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
